Melder & Company boasts a top-notch team of subcontractors. “I don’t select my subcontractors based solely on who is the cheapest; rather, I select them based on who will provide the best value to my clients, which is a combination of price, quality and service – prompt service. I can’t see the benefit of hiring a subcontractor who may be a few hundred dollars cheaper in price but who doesn’t show up when they are scheduled, who may cut corners (to make up for the lower bid) or who I can’t get a hold of for a warranty issue.”
Bobby wants his subcontractors to like working for him, and they do. They know that everything will be ready for them when it is their turn to work on your home, and they know that they will be paid promptly. Don’t discount the latter part when choosing a home builder. Builders who don’t pay their vendors or subcontractors have a difficult time getting your home finished, and you will have a difficult time with any needed warranty work after you move in. Knowing how important this is for a builder’s reputation, Bobby offers to provide his clients a list of his vendors and subcontractors and permission to contact them to inquire about his company’s payment standing. Bobby is married and the father of two children, ages 2 & 8. In the summer, Bobby helps as assistant coach on his oldest son’s little league team. The Melder family is active at St. Camillus Church in New Castle. Additionally, Bobby’s educational background includes the following:
